Description

The Cassien Hook is the latest powerhouse addition to the ever-growing OMC terminal tackle range, meticulously designed to take on the largest and most pressured carp across Europe and beyond. Named after the legendary Lac de Saint Cassien – a venue synonymous with monster carp and unforgiving conditions—this hook embodies everything an angler needs when targeting the fish of a lifetime.

Drawing inspiration from OMC’s acclaimed hook patterns like the Lock Hook and the incredibly versatile Horseshoe and Colne-V hooks, the Cassien offers a fresh take for those looking for reliability, strength, and razor-sharp penetration in even the toughest situations. Whether you’re fishing a traditional bottom bait rig, a German rig, or something more refined, the Cassien’s balanced design makes it a go-to option for rig versatility without sacrificing performance.

This hook features a super-strong wire gauge to stand up to brutal fights and snaggy environments, while the medium-length shank and in-turned eye work in harmony with a wide range of rig mechanics to help the hook turn aggressively and find purchase instantly. The straight needle-sharp point is deadly on contact, engineered to prick quickly and penetrate deeply—even when fishing at range or with stiff hooklink materials.

Finished in OMC’s signature dull black coating, the Cassien maintains a low profile underwater, reducing glare and keeping your presentation as stealthy as possible. Whether you’re stalking pressured fish in the margins or laying traps on big European waters, you can rely on the Cassien to hold firm when it matters most.
