Description

Korda Boom is a specialized, stiff fluorocarbon hooklink material that has revolutionized the way modern carp rigs are constructed. Its primary function is to provide a “boom” that kicks the hookbait away from the lead system during the cast, ensuring perfect presentation every time and virtually eliminating tangles. Because it is made from 100% fluorocarbon, it has a high density that ensures it sinks rapidly and stays pinned to the lake bed, while its clear finish makes it almost invisible to wary fish.

The unique property of Boom is that it can be crimped using the Korda Krimp Tool, allowing you to create incredibly neat, strong, and consistent loops without the need for bulky knots. This stiffness is perfect for creating the boom section on Hinged Stiff rigs, Combi-rigs, or the popular “Spinner” rig. It is available in various breaking strains to suit different angling scenarios, providing the specialist angler with a reliable, high-performance material for technical rig construction.
